Riverside Golf Course

Riverside is an old muni course located on the South side of San Antonio, just a couple miles from downtown. The front side of the course was built in the 30’s and the back nine was added in the 60’s. Riverside also has a nice Par 3 course, which is a great place to work on your game or teach new golfers. This golf facility isn’t much to write home about, but it has improved a lot over the last couple years and its ideal great for beginning golfers or high handicappers.

Review Rating and Summary

My Rating: 81
Judging the course as is, I would highly recommend it to beginning golfers, high handicappers, or seniors. It’s a pretty easy track and the slow greens will help eliminate three-putts. Prices are reasonable and hackers won’t feel out of place. New greens would go a long way to improving this golf course and attracting more experienced players. Some fairway bunkers or more interesting greenside bunkers would also be a huge upgrade.
