Roy Kizer Golf Course

Roy Kizer is a solid Austin municipal golf course. Kizer is located on the same site as the Jimmy Clay golf course, but has a very different design style. The golf course is extremely wide open and is built on a flat Texas terrain that features a lots of water. Keeping the ball in play is fairly easy on this course. The biggest defenses are the wind, ponds, and bunkering. There are five sets of tee markers which allows for any player to enjoy the layout.

Review Rating and Summary

My Rating: 85
Roy Kizer is a unique golf course that most golfers should be able to enjoy. Its flat landscape and lack of trees provides a different style of golf compared to other Austin area courses. The course is a little too open for my liking, which makes for some boring tee shots. Conditions were more than acceptable, and the facilities were well maintained.
