The Buckhorn Golf Course

The Buckhorn is a wide-open golf course that is kept in very good condition. The course is located 30-45 minutes northwest of San Antonio, in Comfort. The Buckhorn is best suited for golfers who don’t want to lose golf balls but still want to play a well-kept track. Don’t expect much from the course in terms of architecture or design. On most holes you can rip it as hard as you want off the tee and still have a look at the green.

Review Rating and Summary

My Rating: 84
More trees, bunkers, or native grass would really fill out this property and make The Buckhorn a more challenging and interesting track. If the owners ever let the conditions suffer, this course would be significantly downgraded. I say it’s a good value at $35-$45, and a great place for higher handicappers to have fun and keep track of their golf ball.
