The Quarry Golf Club

The Quarry Golf Club is a unique track located just north of downtown San Antonio. Played by locals and lots of tourists, I consider it to be one of the better courses in town. The back nine was built where the old rock quarry once existed, providing a wonderful landscape and excellent views. The weekend rates are a little steep, but this is a quality golf facility.

Review Rating and Summary

My Rating: 89
For the $115 price tag, the Quarry may be a bit of a stretch. But if played at a more appropriate price this course can provide outstanding value. The views on the back nine are top notch and the golf course is a fun layout. Conditions are always excellent at the Quarry, however the green speed won’t impress you. The course could benefit from a deeper set of tees to challenge the scratch player. Overall, the Quarry is one of San Antonio’s best public golf courses and its location is accessible from downtown and the north side.
