Tommy Chong on Time Spent in Prison with PGA TOUR Caddy Eric Larson

In this audio clip from The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast #237, Tommy Chong (of Cheech and Chong) discusses his friendship with PGA TOUR caddy Eric Larson, of whom he met in a Federal prison. Chong claims that Larson was buying coke for professional golfers and wasn’t using it himself.

The story of PGA TOUR caddy Eric Larson received some press during the 2008 Ryder Cup when Larson caddied for US team member Anthony Kim. Larson was released from prison in 2006 after spending 11 years behind bars for cocaine related charges. At the time of his arrest, he was a regular caddy for Mark Calcavecchia. As of this post, Larson has a full-time gig with TOUR member Jeff Overton. It has been publicized that Calc was very loyal to Larson while he was in prison, visiting him regularly and ensuring him that he would have work after his release.
